At Cosmetic Labs Canada we source our bottles & jars from manufactures in North America and Mexico, which undergo stringent testing including air quality, chemical laboratory assessments and are made in inspected facilities. These facilities are manufacturing food grade plastic free from all harsh chemicals with absolutely no worry of contaminated bottles contaminating our hair & skin care. These bottles are sealed in plastic bags, away from dust/ dirt debris and poor air quality that could be trapped in or settled into the bottom of containers.
The results show 25% of the survey sample contained dangerous levels of phthalates, a group of chemicals found in plastics and which has been placed under stringent regulations in Europe and North America. This references toys but there was the same article published about bottles except the toxic percentages were even higher.
